Nursing Home Administrator - Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center
The Spanish Peaks Family Clinic has an immediate opening for a Nursing Home Administrator.
The Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) is responsiblefor directing, planning, developing, establishing the policies, objectives,operational effectiveness and allocation of health system resources for theSpanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center in a manner commensurate withthe authority conferred by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board ofTrustees. The NHA reports to the CEO andare responsible for (1) implementing governing body policies; (2) establishinglines of authority/responsibility among nursing home departments and betweendepartments and administration; and (3) ensuring compliance with all regulatoryrequirements. Provides leadership orteam-based efforts to effectively develop and improve work systems andprocesses. Utilizes appropriate teaching, advising and correcting actions orbehaviors as needed.
Minimum Required Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Health Administration or Health Administration or a Master’s degree in Management or Business Administration. Must have a nursing home administration license and a minimum of one year of experience in supervising, directing, managing, monitoring or exercising reasonable control over subordinates, coordination of patient care and services, planning, organizing, and controlling events toward a goal such as finance, budget, and policy-making decision.
